TROUBLESHOOTING
Just like any other electronic device you own, troubleshooting is a good thing to try before you call a service technician. Often there are simple things that can be done to correct a problem. These solutions can save you time and money.
My alarm will not go into the ready mode.....
Make sure all windows/doors are closed and no motion is detected. This should give you the green ready light. If that doesn't work, try resetting your panel by turning it off twice.
My chime is not on my door anymore.....
Enter your 4 digit code then 9. This should turn your chime back on. Use this same step to turn off your chime as well.
My keypad is displaying a number.....
This is usually a sign that you have had an alarm, whether false or real. This number tells you what zone or alarm caused the activation. To clear this number, simply reset your system by turning it off twice.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A: The letters BAT let you know that your system's battery backup is running low. This will not affect the way your system works as it is only there in the event of a power failure. Call us and we will let you know if we need to change it or if you can do it yourself.
Q: I tripped my alarm and now I can't set the system. What do I do?
A: You need to reset your alarm by turning it off twice. To turn it off, you punch in your 4 digit code and then the number 1. Repeat this a second time to reset the system. Once you do this, the green ready light should apear.
Q: What happens once my alarm goes off?
A: Provided that your telephone system is in good working order and you have given us the correct premise number, the monitoring authorities will call your premises first. If no answer, they will dispatch the proper emergency service unit and then begin to call the telephone numbers you provided on your call list. The will continue trying all numbers until they have notified someone of your alarm. The only way a dispatch can be cancelled is if you or someone on your call list give a correct password.
Q: Will my alarm still call the monitoring station if the telephone line is cut?
A: Not unless you have a special telephone protector box specifically designed for that type of scenario. Contact us and we can provide you with this device.
Q: How do I turn the chime on my door on and off?
A: Simply punch in your 4 digit code and then the number 9.
Q: How do I turn my alarm system on and off?
A: To turn the system on, punch in the # key and then the number 2. To turn the system off, enter your 4 digit code and then the number 1.
Q: Can the system be armed while we're at home?
A: Certainly....just enter the # key and then the number 3. This will override the motion detectors and only activate the doors and/or windows protected with your system.
Q: We have a dog. Will our pet cause the motion detectors to sound the alarm?
A: We have a special pet immune motion detector that will allow your pet to roam freely in the home with the alarm activated. Just let us know the size of your pet, so the proper device can be installed. Additional charges do apply for this, so contact us for current prices.
